g35 2jz swap

I have an 06 g35 coupe and was wondering how much it would be to swap motors.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
A few swaps have been done by our members and I think there are a couple of threads documenting them but for the life of me I can't remember what the costs were. Search here or on Google and you should find them. It's not something a ton of people here have done.

I've never understood the point of swapping anything other than an LS into a G35. The VQ it comes with has amazing aftermarket support and can be built to handle 1200whp+. The LS is a moderately budget friendly swap with the potential for massive power as well if you like a V8 rumble but the 2JZ swap just seems a little pointless.

It's cheaper to just buy a Supra

It’s way costlier to modify and build the VQ35 than it is to swap in and modify either the LS or 2JZ. Hell, the 2JZ can be used with the CD009 transmission...and the motor costs $500-$1500 with decent mileage. The aftermarket support is even larger for the 2JZ and the LS. The G35 and 350z are the new 240sx. Swapping is the future for these cars as their motors (while great stock) are not that responsive to modifications.

Also, a Supra goes for around $40,000 for a LHD model and around half that for a RHD model and people are doing these swaps for around the same price as buying a very low mile 350z or G35.

Here’s a direct quote from 2010:

“Actually you would be suprised how much we could do a swap for. You would actually probally come out less than building a VQ if you are wanting to put down above 400WHP. Plus it would be way more reliable at those numbers. For those that don't already have a G35 we can do a swap into a shell for around the same price as an actual used G35 including shell, engine, and install. Anyone that wants more info can take a look and contact us from our website G352JZ.com.

Thanks to everyone who has viewed and likes the car!!!”

I don't get it, the website you linked is nothing but advertisements to other companies and a big "BUY THIS DOMAIN" sticker in the corner?

Are you for real or am I getting trolled by a robot?

Are you really that daft? I wasn’t linking you to a website from 2010...I was giving a direct quote of someone doing this swap from 2010 stating how they did it for cheap. On top of that I provided widespread knowledge that it’s cheaper to swap than build a VQ35. If that’s all you’re caught on, move along.
