Strange power steering issue

Hey everybody, recently my old G is starting to leak PS fluid out of the top of the reservoir. I have one of SxExCx's aluminum tanks and have had it for 45K miles without an issue. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this issue? Obviously the system is building a lot of pressure that should be vented somewhere but I've never seen fluid come out of the top. I'm thinking the pump might be malfunctioning but that's just a guess.

TIA for any advice you all might have for me.

You need to get it repaired!

I only trust the dealer for quality repairs despite their prices. My recently traded in 2012 G37S began having a power steering whine about a year prior to trading it in. That was just one of the factors that prompted me to move up to the Q70

I'd take the tank off and look for debris clogging up the intake tube. Typically there's a mesh screen on the intake to filter crap as it's drawn into the pump and it might be covered on goo.

Heyyyyy mechanics.stackexchange! I used to be pretty active over there, great site full of very knowledgeable people. I've learned a lot about cars there, and a lot about (very basic) programming I had to do for my job on some of the other stachexchange sites. Sorry for the threadjack c:

Update:

After researching this more, testing the pump, checking out the lines and connections, I suspected it was air in the system. So I drained/refilled the fluid, bled the system and the leak is gone. No more being forced out of the top or frothy fluid in the tank. I waited over a week to post the update to make sure the issue was resolved and it seems it has.
