Question 2012 Infinti G25 Overheating at Idle... Air Bleeder Valve and Location??

Hi,

The other day the Heater Hose Connector broke (which I have no idea why they don't make the hose a one piece thing!), gauge went straight up to 'H' as I obviously lost all the antifreeze. I have a G35 as well, and I know where the Air Bleeder Valve is on my G35, but this engine's different, obviously (2.5L vs 3.5L), and I can't find it. Does anyone know where it is, and if so, would you please let me know?

It's overheating at idle/red light, but when I rev it up to 4-6 RPM the temperature comes back to normal, so I think this could be an issue and wanna start here before changing the thermostat because I know there's air in there, so if anyone knows where the Air Bleeder Valve is on this please do let me know.

Thank you very much!

Thanks Joe, I really appreciate the reply, but unfortunately this little 2.5 engine is different than my G35. Ya, that's exactly where it is on my G35, but it's definitely not the same on this slow car (with slow being the reason I got it......too many tickets in my G35, plus got it for a good price w/low miles).

Again, thanks Joe, and sure do wish it had the same set-up as my G35, but unfortunately it's not even close, but thank you just the same!

The bleeder is located in line from the rear of the engine to the heater core. And it may not be stock if it's not there on that car! G25 is budget.

Z1 sells replacements that you could upgrade your car with lol. But yeah you gotta get it right. It should be near the passenger firewall.

Thanks for the reply, and if that's where it's supposed to be, then it'll be there cause it is stock as I bought it new, and not for budget, but for less power (too many tickets in the G35, so wasn't about to jump into a G37, so needed something with a LOT less power than the 35, which this sure as hell fits that bill, lol). Anyways, thank you very much for the reply, and I'm gonna go check again as I must've missed it.

Thanks a LOT Urbanengineer!!

Video 12 shows a bleeder screw (not sure if it is the G25 or not because I see multiple cars in the video)

This link brought to you by a really boring and unnecessary meeting
