"Check Engine Soon" - but no Limp Mode?

OK, so my '06 G35 sedan threw the dreaded P1759 & P1757 codes yesterday. Trans is clearly not functioning properly, took it to the shop today. The "Check Engine Soon" lamp is lit, but I don't think it's in Limp Mode. How can you tell if it's in Limp Mode? No other indicator lights on the dash except for the "Check Engine" and the usual. Thanks...

My car has never went into limp mode ever with the check engine light on. I think limp mode is a myth.

Only certain parameters will trigger limp mode, things like overheat or low oil or anything else that can damage the motor (loss of cam position, etc).

Those two codes are a 1st gear solenoid failure, probably the solenoid on the valve body gave up the ghost.

You will definitely know you're in limp mode because the engine won't rev above 2k and you can't drive more than 20mph.

Drop a couple viagras in the gas tank. Thatll fix your limp mode.
