It’s currently 82 degrees out and when I have the AC on the car stays at this temperature. Its just slightly over but just wanted to know if this is perfectly normal.

Unfortunately that's all in relation to the sensor data voltage and how it's interpreted by the ECM/combination meter and it doesn't show actual degrees F.

Plug in an OBD2 scanner and read how many degrees F it is.Normal operating temp is 194 degreesF for a rev-up, 203 degreesF for a non-revup.

Having read real time data from the ECU, that would be about 215 to 220 degrees couple more and it spikes up to 3/4 gauge.

If it stays there, I wouldn't worry about it. Does it point to a different position when it's colder and no AC running ?
