Cam sensor bank 1….

So I got the usual reading on the dash for vdc slip & check engine lights on, turned out to be
code p0340 (bank 1) cam sensor. So I take out the 10mm bolt & unlatch the harness cable, but the sensor is lodged in & stuck in the housing. Anybody else run into this problem ?? I know most ppl have a tough time getting it off the harness, but mines an 07 with the new harness so that wasn’t much of an issue…any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

It's probably just the o-ring that's stuck, since you're trashing that cam sensor anyways just grab it with a pair of channel lock pliers and wiggle it side to side.

I already tried that…it’ll wiggle a bit but won’t fu**ing come out. It’s an 07 w/ 175k so it’s been in there for a hot minute

Yes, they will go out eventually. Or u can reset it yourself and not have to wait for it. Easiest reset is to just disconnect the battery for a few minutes and hook it back up again.
