My walmart actually has the K&N to fit our cars. My mpg went down a bit..but I can't tell if it was from that mod or if my driving habits / mods are the reason. It's not a mod to look for mpg gains though. It's more sound and 3.5k rpm+ hp gains which are marginal to boot. Cheap mod plus fun working on the car!

i'd have to say no change even though i haven't done the mods on mine. (just got a 05 6mt sedan this past weekend, so still breaking in the motor and stuff)

did perform intake mod on my 2k2 maxima 6spd and it depends on the mood and situation. the gains wouldn't be too significant even if i baby the motor on 150 plus mile highway runs (maybe a gain of 1.5 to 2 mpg) since i tend to drive 75+ mph on 75% of the trip. Sometimes i like to rev the motor to the 4k mark just to hear the sound of the intake.

i'll need to change my driving habits with the g because it puts out a nice exhaust note already on stock muffler. Will most likely replace "suitcase" exhaust piping and muffler to stillen one, but won't happen for a year or 2.

all in all, YMMV....

I get better gas mileage when I drive "normal"

I get worst gas mileage when I get on it that I did "getting on it" w/o the z-tube.
