There are two types of skunk spray. The regular spray and the death spray that GT-Ron mentioned. I live in a pretty wooded area for Northern, NJ, so I smell regular skunk spray too often just passing through a certain area. The two smells are incomparable. If some nature lover wants to tell me the reason for skunks not being extinct, I'd love to hear it.

LMFAO!!!

Thank god its freezing cold this weekend. I read that freezing temps kill odor. I've had my car parked outside with the sunroof tilted and the windows down two inches. I'm gonna put the car up on ramps and take a blacklight to the undercarriage/front bumper to see if I can clean the skunk stains with vinegar or something.

i missed a DUMB skunk tonight and thought about this thread instantly... same kind of thing except i saw it coming from the ditch and hit the brakes and swung to miss then my little sister looked up from "Office Space" playing on my screen and with the "WTF are you doing, trying to kill your lil sis?" im suprised she didnt get out of my car and walk home (since we were close anyways) and she didnt believe my skunk story

Is this for real? Or the vinegar will just mask the skunk smell? HAHAH, my car will smell like salt and vinegar potatoe chips with a hint of skunk.

This will work. Vinegar will absorb/draw the odor out of the car. It's a trick that carpet cleaners use. Or you can go to a Carpet Cleaning Supply shop and rent a ozone machine. The vinegar is a cheaper route though.
