Unhappy Decided to sell the G

Afr0 - 0
Skunk - 1

Yeah, I guess that pretty much explains it.

I swear skunks are the slowest damn creatures on the face of the planet. That thing was taking its sweet time waddling across the street. The moment I saw that sucker I slammed on the brakes. The focker tailgating me did the same. His wheels locked and I quickly let off the brake once I heard his tires screeching. I hit the gas to try to swerve around the skunk. Retarded thing decides to double back even though it would have made it across the street.

It must have sensed it's death with my low clearance front end and let of the nastiest spray in the world before it got slammed by my bumper and eventually crushed by my passenger side tires. You have never smelled anything so foul in your life. I started to tear, gag, and nearly vomit. I have no idea how that smell got all inside the cabin. Went to the car wash instantly. Got out to inspect and saw the impact on my bumper. Tore a bit of my clear bra and saw some stuck on fur. Washed the car three times. I still smell the skunk within 15 feet of the car.

The interior smell is unbearable. I have to drive with my windows down/sunroof open in this freezing weather.

Dude, that sucks! Wasn't there a Seinfeld episode like this? Maybe one of those ozone things will take care of the cabin.

Hey Puff, sorry to hear man. Try leaving a few cups of whole coffee beans inside your car over night. I would also try some some open boxes of baking soda as well!

professional detail will take it out. They can steam clean the whole cabin. Remember my egg situation that covered my interior. Steam clean made the cabin look showroom new and smelled beautiful.

Sorry to hear that, Sal......I'd go with the detailing if it were mine.... It needs a good steam clean.

Yeah, my friends that have smelled it are brining that up non stop. Even where I work in Newark, NJ, I can leave it on the street running and no one will go near it. One of my smart azz friends said that it's an extra security device. "Whenever you walk up to your car, you'll see thieves around it who have been knocked out by the smell. Like a bug zapper."

The only brightside is that I had my winter wheels on, so my bling bling wheels are safe. Been reading up and an ozone machine is the way to go for skunk smell inside the cabin. Now I need to find a detailer that is willing.

Try some "fabreeze" all over the interior. How could you sell it if it stinks so bad?

At least it isn't BO, like the Seinfeld episode. The skunk smell will go away eventually.

In the meantime, I'd be expecting to get some attention from cops. Hope you don't smoke.

I'd suggest taking it to a carwash and have them do the undercarriage cleaning, but I don't know that I could bring myself to take it to one. Maybe you can find a touchless that will do it. Just tell them to forget drying it with their funky towels. They shouldn't resist the request.

Dude... all things considered, I think I'd rather have the BO. Words can not explain the smell. My friend was in the car and we both agreed that it might have been better to have been rear ended. Or accidently not park the car in gear and let it roll into a lake so I can write it off. That's how bad the car stinks. Washed the undercarriage also.

As for attention from cops, this is how the remainder of the night went... We nearly pass out from the stench. Instantly, I close the vents and make sure the cabin is sealed. The smell is unbearable and I open the sunroof and roll down the windows. If I drive above 60, the fresh air dilutes the skunk enough for it to be semi-breathable. I'm about 45 miles from home up in the mountains. I'm practically out of gas, but I did not want to stop the car. Needed to get it to a car wash ASAP. So with the windows down and sunroof open, doing about 85mph, gas went pretty quickly and the car shut off before reaching civilization. Fortunately, I was going fast enough to coast through the next exit and get off the highway.

Didn't see any cars so I ran the stop sign after the off-ramp, trying to coast down the hill, hoping to find a gas station. A cop was right there and put on his lights after seeing me run the stop. My friend and I had our faces covered, trying to breathe through our sleeves.

Cop walks up... "How's it going tonight fella- Jeezus christ that stinks!!"
"Officer, can we please get out of the car? We can't breathe"

HAHAH, cop was cool as hell. Started laughing as we ran off to the side coughing and spitting up nasty saliva. He gave us a ride to and back from a gas station. Within a minute of us sitting in the back of the cruiser he goes, "damn, you guys stink. I should have made you walk." LOL!

LMAO!!!

And I'm all too familiar with the stench. For those who have simply smelled a skunk spray, it is a fraction of the powerful stink they release upon dying. They empty that sack of every last drop, and I think it's those last drops that are so putrid.

Had a skunk outside my house one night, so I cracked open the sliding-glass door to shoot him with a pellet gun, to get him to run off. I happened to hit him right behind the ear, so the pellet went right into his brain. He emptied that stink sack compeltely! Even though the door was closed in time, the inside of the house wreaked for a couple of days. I'd normally call that a lucky shot, but under the circumstances...

Damn Afro, that sucks. I ran over one on SuperBowl Sunday. I saw it and decided not to stop cuz I was in a rush to get home to watch the game. Luckily I was in the Camry, but it took about a good week and a half to be back to normal. I didn't kill it, but ran over it pretty bad....like 5 seconds later, the car smelled....BAD!!! I was freezing for about a week like you said you did. I had the windows open while driving, overnight, and all DAY! I didn't use any spray or anything...it just left!!!
