Yeah I have to agree with the title of the thread. The G is a smooth and sporty, entry-level luxury coupe and it is just too easy to end up hurting it.
It seems like the aftermarket cars on this forum that look the best are the ones that have consistency throughout the mods (a good balance in all departments), and provide a theme that compliments the car's nature instead of fighting it.
I do consider this a good thing, though. The G in stock form just feels like a very complete car whereas other vehicles feel like they need to be modded to explore the car's true potential. I really enjoy being satisfied with my ride every time I drive it.
One thing is for sure, though. If you do any mod, or more than one mod, that a girl doesn't like, it just has to go.

Styling, like any kind of beauty, if strictly in the eye of the beholder. The G35 like most any car on the road is still a mass production car. If it was not, the cost would be very high.
As it is, it is a good balance of luxury and performance for a reasonable price.
In order to keep it affordable, it will not have the lightest or best breathing exhaust system, but certainly one that is adequate. It has an above average air intake system, compared to most vehicles, but even that can be improved on.
We could go on an on discussing all the compromises that are made in the car in order to make it profitable for the manufacturer and yet appeal to a large variety of owners,
We can spend as little or as much money as we desire to make it into something that satisfies us more than stock. Whether you are dress-up or performance oriented, or some combination of both, you have lots of great options, including doing nothing at all.

I can understand what he is saying in a sense, because some dudes on here really over-do it with mods..LOL Its the individuals choice at the end of the day! I wish infiniti had a performance line like the SRT,AMG or M line. That would be hot,but I think some cats would still find something wrong with that to...LOL! WATCH SOMEONE WILL MOD-OUT THAT SKYLINE WHEN IT COMES HERE,THAT THING WILL HAVE A MILLION HORSES STOCK..HA HA.

And FYI, most people on this forum who have modded their G's have ALWAYS tried to avoid any "ricer" type modifications.

i agree with mpaule. its honestly a personal preference. The G was designed well. but i wanted to go a little further with it. as you can tell from my pictures. when i bought the car. i loved the look and the stock exhaust sound was amazing. after a while i wanted to make it a project car. so thats what im doing
