I'd like to see some evidence of this. when I went to Japan most people were driving tiny little cars that looked like scions - I believe they are taxed on engine displacement as well, which would mean the 280hp skyline would be out of reach of most people. only rarely would you see an infiniti q45 or lexus ls400 obviously branded as regular nissan or toyotas. you're saying that a g35 is only 10 thousand US....I see an import business switching right hand drives to left hand drives in the making...

Yeah this forum would be real interesting if nobody modded their cars.

Styling, like any kind of beauty, if strictly in the eye of the beholder. The G35 like most any car on the road is still a mass production car. If it was not, the cost would be very high.
As it is, it is a good balance of luxury and performance for a reasonable price.
In order to keep it affordable, it will not have the lightest or best breathing exhaust system, but certainly one that is adequate. It has an above average air intake system, compared to most vehicles, but even that can be improved on.
We could go on an on discussing all the compromises that are made in the car in order to make it profitable for the manufacturer and yet appeal to a large variety of owners,
We can spend as little or as much money as we desire to make it into something that satisfies us more than stock. Whether you are dress-up or performance oriented, or some combination of both, you have lots of great options, including doing nothing at all.

I can understand what he is saying in a sense, because some dudes on here really over-do it with mods..LOL Its the individuals choice at the end of the day! I wish infiniti had a performance line like the SRT,AMG or M line. That would be hot,but I think some cats would still find something wrong with that to...LOL! WATCH SOMEONE WILL MOD-OUT THAT SKYLINE WHEN IT COMES HERE,THAT THING WILL HAVE A MILLION HORSES STOCK..HA HA.

Who puts American Racing wheels on a G?

And FYI, most people on this forum who have modded their G's have ALWAYS tried to avoid any "ricer" type modifications.

This thread was brought up probably because there were no tasteful body kits and other exterior mods for the Gs at that time(2003). Now there are more great lookin body kits out there. Correct me if I'm wrong hehehee. Maybe I'm just bias :P!!

i agree with mpaule. its honestly a personal preference. The G was designed well. but i wanted to go a little further with it. as you can tell from my pictures. when i bought the car. i loved the look and the stock exhaust sound was amazing. after a while i wanted to make it a project car. so thats what im doing
