I assume you mean something other than OEM? Check tirerack.com.

And if you are a 2004, (under 3/36k) then you may be eligible for the warranty service,-- I think.

I'll be ordering pads soon as well...

I highly recommend hawk HPS pads....

I'll prob. order from performancnissanparts.com...

saw them for non brembo models for $60+shipping...I currently run this setup and let me just say 90% LESS brake dust and same stopping characteristics as stock...

Also heard good things about project Mu pads.....I only changed my fronts as they do most of the work and my rears didnt need replacing and dont put out any dust anyways

I just had the 15k done at my dealer and he replaced my rears. He said that once I'm out of the brake warranty they can replace the factory pads with Akebonos. They just came out (I think) and he said that the performance is the same or comparable and they are much better as far as dust goes.

Not sure of pricing, etc.

i just put the hawk hps on my brembos at like 19k miles almost. They dont make any noise or dust so far really. (had em for about 150 miles) They stop the car almost as well as the OEM pads... I really ahvent stomped on them yet, but they just dont seem to stop the car quite as well as the oem pads up till this point... they may get better after theyve been on there for a little longer since they are still relatively new. The b-force pads were what i was originally gonna get (project MU), but they were back ordered for like 2 months so i ended up with the hawks

Did you perform the break-in (bed-in) procedure? I used Hawk HPS in my previous cars and the improvement in braking is very noticeable. However, you must do the procedure in order for them to perform at their peak.

from what i have read there are pretty much no pads that will out peform oem pads. The oem's are good pads, but they create a lot of dust and noise.. i realize that the HPS hawks may have improved the braking in OTHER cars, and its definatly an improvement over my worn oem pads, but i just dont think they will end up stopping the car like when it was new. Remember i have brembos (even though i doubt it matters since they dont stop the car any better than stock brakes).

After installing new brake pads, make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 30-35 mph applying moderate pressure.
Make an additional 2 to 3 hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph.
DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.
After step 4 your new pads are ready for use.

those are the bed in steps if you want them.... i just figure that mine will be bedded in eventually... if i was going to the track right after putting them on, i would do this, but i dont need max stopping power right now.... hell i hardly use my brakes at all since i have a 6mt

Really? I kind of regretted not searching harder for an 04 coupe with Brembos. They don't stop any shorter? I would imagine they would take longer to fade than the regular brakes.

i have used the project mu for the last few weeks and they do work MUCH MUCH better than OEM. They have great stopping power whenever you need it. They do dust also, but the dust is of a lighter color and not very noticible.
