Blog: Preview of my Top Secret project...shhh! :)

Here's a sneak preview of my little project for HIN...
Going to be a MAD CRAZY rush to get it ready... wish me luck.
This is the Authentic JDM Top Secret bumper...

Thanks to Drew for helping me pick it up... and a "thanks in advance" to John aka Ducatiguy for his advise in my ordeal & upcoming prep work this week to get my **** ready... John has more pix as I haven't even seen it in person yet. Rest of the **** is coming later this week...

UPDATE: Couldn't resist... went over to Ducatiguy's place... and test fitted the sucker!! Fits great! Only minor prep work here and there needed...

jason, your bumper is in good hands... i spent 12 hours yesterday at "Papa Johns Autobody" up there in Norwalk.

Jon and especially his dad helped me and John (coupin) bondo, sand, bondo, sand, paint, clearcoat, wetsand, etc, etc, etc....

i'll post pics once my project is done, and i'm sure John will too.

Glad me and Drew could help you guys out. Always glad to push a little.

I'll have some pics up soon of the stuff we worked on at our 14 hour day at Duc's. Still more work to be done, but things are looking sweet.

*UPDATE*

The bumper has been dropped off at the body shop and is awaiting paint!

The Top Secret front bumper needed minimal surface prep. It had some minor flaws, but nothing a little elbow work couldn't fix and do away.

The over-all build and quality (both inside and out) is very good and smooth. I do have a problem with the mesh holding tabs (on the inside of the bumper), as they're just too weak a metal, so my plan is to replace them with stronger ones.

We're also not going to use the silver "chicken wire" mesh it came with. Instead Jasons opting for some custom black mesh from Drew, which will compliment the cars black on graphite color scheme.

Next in line are the Ing skirts that should be here this Thursday.... I'll have an update on them as soon as they come in to "Papa John's Chop Shop"...

Very nice to hear that you didn't have to do much work to make it fit. Thats what happens when you buy from a quality maker. NEVER buy Carbon Creation products.
I wish i could get a rear bumper in time for HIN.

Nice job John and Nice buy Jay
