Do you have the car or does the bodyshop? If you have it, the only thing I would try first is a ecu reset. The easiest way for you to do it is to disconnect the neg. and pos. battery cable and touch them for about 5 seconds. Then, connect them again, neg. first then pos. If the car is at the shop, see if they have a scanner. That's probably gonna be the only way to diagnose the problem, other than looking around for any sensors that aren't connected. It sounds like an electrical or sensor problem and without hooking up the scanner and telling me the code, it's hard to say exactly what's wrong with it. But, from just changing the steering wheel to another? That's sounds weird. Don't know how that could effect your engine management sensors! Good luck and tell us what happens! By the way, sounds like the crank position sensor or timing camshaft sensor but, don't see how that would get affected with a steering wheel change. They must of touched something else. Either way, good luck!

It may have something to due with the airbag sensor. It's just a guess, but the car may go into limp mode if there is a problem with the sensor.

Could be but, I don't think so. Anyway, if it is, by resetting your ecu it should solve the problem...

dude - how in the world would anhyone be able to diagnose ur issue with that?

take it back to the shop & have them double check their work to ensure they put everything back together right.. if it's still jacked up- take it to the dealer.

i wouldn't go messing around w/ anything other than an ecu reset as u may make things worse. good luck

+1, Does your airbag warning light blink on the dash? What about the VDC light as well?

I doubt he's gonna try to fix it himself other than an ecu reset. He's probably just curious as to what is going on with the car. Wouldn't you be?
