2005 Black G35 6MT Twin Turbo, Oceanside, CA, 84312 Miles
SOLD!!!!!!
For sale in Oceanside, California. Disclaimer up front: will not pass CA visual smog test. Car is registered in another sate (active duty military).
Second disclaimer: I used to take this car to NASA HPDE days, and drove it hard. Still is in great condition, and engine still runs strong with no problems. I took good care of it, and always fixed anything that happened. As part of this, you are also welcome to the set of track wheels and tires I have with it, in addition to the small trailer that I used to transport the wheels and tools to the track.
Oh, and it is dead reliable; I have driven it across the country multiple times, to include just recently from Nebraska to California (in summer 2013). It's my daily driver, so I would not have it any other way.
Accidents: one minor front end. I rear ended someone else, and ended up replacing the hood with the CF Vented Hood. No other accidents.
I am selling my G due to an upcoming deployment, and would rather not store it for a year. This does NOT mean I need to sell it, so no crazy low ball offers.
Current mileage is 84312, as seen in verification pic. Many more pics on the link below.
It's a 2005 Infiniti G35, pretty modified, with a JWT twin turbo kit at 9 PSI of boost; makes 391 rwhp. Other mods are listed below, from my cardomain website, mostly updated.
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2253753/2005-infiniti-g/
Crawford high flow cats, Motordyne true dual exhaust, JWT Popcharger, MotorDyne MREV modified upper and lower plenums, Deatschwerks 440cc injectors, Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, ATI Fluidampr pulley, GordGee Grounding Gear, Stillen Oil Cooler w/Mocal thermostat, APS extra capacity finned Oil Pan, HKS Twin Power DLI II, Okada Projects Plasma Direct coils, dual Greddy Oil Catch Cans, AMS radiator, NISMO Thermostat, SPAL electric fans w/temp control, stainless steel clutch line and the JWT Twin Turbo kit , all flowing through a JWT Heavy Duty Clutch and lightweight flywheel and managed by the Haltech ECU w/boost solenoid for 9 PSI. All piping is thermally wrapped to help prevent heatsoak.
Since that was done, a couple of things have been updated: Tanabe Sustec Pro=5 coilovers all around, along with the TEAS active damper controller; new bushings all around; the Haltech ECU is the newer model complete replacement for the stock ECU (I still have the stock ECU).
The PIAA Super Rozzas have been powercoated flat black, and I have a new set of Nitto Invos on them (as of one week ago today)
Car PC still works great and has all my mp3s as well as various other programs, to include the Haltech ECU manager.
CF vented hood is new, as well. Pic attached
Newest dyno attached as well.
Looking for $13000 for this; slightly above KBB of $12000, but considering all you get well worth it.
VIN: JNKCV54E85M4090704

Need to reiterate to everyone: this car WILL NOT Pass California visual inspection, and thus, can not be registered in California, unless you know some special shop.
Some other answers to question I have had:
Who installed the turbo kit/ other parts?
Turbo: MAC Autosport http://www.macautosport.com/
Other parts: various places, to include a lot of work by myself
Who tuned it? Been through three ECUs, the first was a UTEC by MAC Autosports, second was the Haltech ECU plugin, also tuned by MAC, and the final and current is the Haltech standalone (stock ECU is removed, although I still have it); this was tuned by Dynosty (www.dynosty.com) in August of 2012 and is the dyno in the original post
How is the transmission, any gears grinding? I blew up the transmission in 2007 at the racetrack, and a brand new one was installed by Infiniti of Colorado Springs. This transmission works great and I have had zero problems with it.
Aprox. How many miles have the turbos been on the car. Turbos were installed at about 30k, so about 55k miles ago.
Aprox. Miles since last:
Clutch work: Exedy Twin Carbon clutch was installed in mid 2011
Brake work: Changed the pads about three months ago; I use street pads which are low noise and low dust. I have my track pads for track use; I can get the brand for you of each set when I get home.
Oil change/what oil do you use; changed oil two weeks ago, I change it every 3-4 months, with Amsoil Dominator 5w-30
Any common mechanical issues your running into? None, really, other than it being an 8 year old car, so some things are starting to wear; I have been changing things out as they happen.
Any overheating issues?: None; I have the oil cooler, and an oil pan spacer which gives it about 6 quart capacity, and a fan on the oil cooler. The radiator is a higher capacity, high performance radiaotr, and I have upgraded SPAL fans on it. At the track the oil temp will get up in the 250 range, but the radiator temp never gets about 220, and only gets that high when pushing it hard at the track. Normally runs about 185 water temp and 190 oil temp during normal driving. I have an OBDII gauge that I use to monitor water temp, and one of the three a pillar gauges monitors oil temp. I change the oil out after every track weekend, as well.
Does it burn/consume oil? A little bit, maybe 1 quart every 10k miles (I don't go that far between oil changes, that's extrapolating the oil consumption at 3-4k miles, which is about 1/3 of a quart)
Does the A/C still work? Works great, no problems with it at all. Not modified at all for the JWT kit.
What size JWT TT kit is it? 530bbs. Boost solenoid installed with Haltech ECU for 9 PSI boost. Dyno on original post is from August 2012, and shows how strong it still pulls.
