Driving a stick in traffic?

Alright, I live in Southern VA and I drive a lot, usually theres traffic somewhere, but I also drive to Connecticut a lot cause I'm from there and I go through NYC and theres traffic obviously. Now I drive A LOT, so should I get the 6mt or automatic. As of now, the car is fast enough, but I know how I'll develop to the car and I'll want it faster more than likely... So if its really horrible in traffic, then I'm not gonna get it, I'll settle for the auto. Mind you, I'm 18 almost 19, in college, and I'm upgrading from a BASE Acura RSX (auto). Advice PLEASE????

Get the stick. I drive my 6MT in thick SoCal traffic all the time... No problem.

I can understand if you're driving through NYC everyday...but if you're just hitting traffic once in a while...I don't see how the 6-speed could be that frustrating.

On my daily commute I sometimes get caught up in some stop and go...but not enough to make me want the auto. Although I will admit the '06 auto coupe I got as a rental was pretty nice.

If everything works out like it should... both are 06's, the 6mt is Ivory pearl w/ wheat interior, nav, and those sick *** stock rims. the auto is Lakeshore slate on wheat interior, nav, and the regular rims...

I have an auto. We bought it when I lived up in Seattle. The traffic up there is horrible. Well, now we're down in Vancouver WA and I really want the 6MT.

If you can deal with it, get the MT. You wont regret it.

Get the stick. Stop whining. Traffic or not, you bought the stick so you could shift the gears yourself. If you dont want to shift, dont get the stick but I can almost gaurantee you'll regret getting an auto.

I am on my second 6MT coupe and would never consider an auto. I put over 28,000 miles on my 04 in 13 months - all in South Florida traffic. SoFla is terrible for traffic and construction, and I never once wished I had an auto.

Hate traffic love the auto. The MT in the G sucks anyway no matter what year you get, the tranny can't decide if it wants to be a sports car or not. It shifts like a mustang. It would be one thing if you got this great tranny but you don't. Only get the MT if you hate auto or plan to heavily mod or track the car.

No joke, all of the input from everyone helps me a lot. I keep getting thrown off but Im definitly narrowing down... I dont HATE automatics, and if he said he drives in South Florida, we gotta house in Miami and traffic is rediculous, that means I could do anything, lol... Anyone or anything else???
