Homelink Help

i did a search and couldn't come up with my specific question so here goes... I have an 04 g35c premium pckg. loaded and have become tired of going through my glove box for my clicker. The dealer that sold me the car was really vague and said something about holding both the clicker button and one of the 3 homelink buttons down at the same time for 20 seconds and i tried this over and over with no luck, and i cant find my manual. Can anyone explain to me how to set up this rear-view mirror feature?

First you have to unplug your garage door opener. Then hold down one of the three homelink buttons and the button on your remote at the same time. A red light on your mirror will blink slowly at first, and then fast. Then you're done.

You just have to hold down one. To clear the buttons, you hold down the first and third button.
