Re: AWD G's or G????

if the coupe goes awd, it would be no sooner than 05.

if the sedan goes awd, as expected, if it follows the lead of bmw, audi, volvo, it should be an option, not std.

Re: AWD G's or G????

Ok guys let's get this straight. The skyline sedan in japan, (the JDM G35 sedan) is already available there in 4WD not AWD. Remember there is a differance. If you want a better explanation do a search for the last post about the AWD sedan where I gave an explanation of the differances. I have talked to several dealers here in Cali and most have confirmed knowledge that the 4WD version of the sedan should hit our shores around December I believe. Of course this is info from the dealer and we know how reliable it is. However, 4WD is already and option in the JDM, you can find the options on the Nissan JDM website. Even though I think AWD coupe would be the best thing ever, and the fact that the coupe and sedan share the same platform. I don't think Nissan would try an AWD coupe because it would possibley down play the new upcoming Skyline R36 concept car which I think we all drool over. Hope that info helps. If anyone wants more info about the 4WD option on the sedan click on the link below to the Japanese Nissan website but you better brush up on your japanese, heh. Re: AWD G's or G????

Mr.elussive,
The GTR is a legendary and god like car... It is the Godzilla That Races (GTR). Haha, any ways the last gtr was made in 2002...it is the highest model in the skyline classes..... skyline gtr v-spec ll ! It is a 280 hp(known to dyno over that Stock) the engine RB26DETT is very responsive..it can gain 5 horses with a change of spark plugs! I am just hoping that the R35 will come to america soon...i think it is gonna be under infiniti not nissan tho...here is a picture of a R34 Gtr skyline just for you MrEllusive!

Re: AWD G's or G????

If I am not mistaken full time 4wd and awd are the same thing except on suv where 4wd have low and high modes. But if I am not mistaken this is the same altessa 4wd system that on on a skyline and the skyline wagon forgot its name.

Re: AWD G's or G????

fyi, the Infiniti website now has an intro for the AWD version of the sedan (called the G35x). December date. Most exciting: it has one of those adjustable systems where you can make it 50-50 front-rear torque split or put 100% to the rear wheels with a push of a button. Anyone know if that's the same as the ATESSA (or whatever the Skyline GT-R's AWD is called) system?
