To Rim or not! Ultimate mod.

Hey guys,

Fairly new in the crowd - just got my '06 Ivory Pearl 6MT about 2 weeks ago. I've always dreamed of owning a Porsche, but I must say, this G35 feels like my dream car. Quite an engine sound.

Nwayz, the car is currently undergoing surgery, mainly cosmetic on the outside. Went crazy a little bit.

- JDM Clear corners
- Splash guards
- UT GTR Grill (black)
- UT roof spoiler (ivory pearl)
- Veilside V1 rear wing - (ivory pearl + carbon fiber)

That Veilside spoiler - either you like or you don't. It's quite big, but I believe its going to be sick. I just hope it won't look silly without the body kit - can't really put that body kit, the car would be damn too low - moving back to Quebec (from Florida) - roads over there being the worst on the continent. We'll see.

---

Now, next. I want to put up some black rims - love those 19s OEM Rays - but I'd rather have something different, and black!

1- I'd appreciate any ideas - pictures - if anyone went that route.

2- Any suggestions on how to sell the OEM rims - how much I can get for them?

Opinions are welcome - and yes - however bad they may be.

That veilside wing isn't popular (At ALL) for obvious reasons....

Also, the black grill is not gonna look good on IP. Get the CF grill, and a CF hood, maybe then...

It depends on how much you want to spend.
If I could get rims right now I would get Work equips or the SSR SP1's. Both look great in black !

Well, I guess its a matter of taste. The grills at the bottom are black already - and with some nice window tints, I'm sure it'll have to look good. We'll see. Only thing about the grill, is that middle piece, might put the Infiniti logo right there to cover some of it - just don't know if I'd keep the chrome finish or try to put something else.. hmm..

And yes, the wing as mentionned, either you like or you don't. Going for the agressive racing look, rather than a more conservative approach. That's just me.

Ok, now. Nobody mentionned anything about getting rid of the OEMs. I'm sure I'm not the first one to do that. So, how much can I expect to get ($$$)?

Probably using EBay is the easiest place to find buyers.

For the OEM wheels/tires... I sold mine local pick up for $1500 with around 3,000 miles on them.
