Creaky Seat

So I've got 44k on my 04.5 coupe. It is running fairly well, however, I've noticed that when I take turns, my seat starts creaking like grandma's rocking chair. I can't imagine there is a fix for this. Maybe spraying some silicone lubrication at key points but that is about it.

Any others out there? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I have the same problem with my driver seat only difference is my coupe is a 06 with 6,500mi on it. Everytime I make a turn it makes a noise. Do you think this can be fixed at the dealer?

I did mine a few months ago, really easy

There is 2 star shaped screws in the front of the seat that retain the plastic panel, its the same that cover the front and side of the seat.

with theses screw off, you can carefully bend the panel and lubricate the pivot point that make the noise. I will get picture from the manual and post is soon

well, it corrected mine.

The best way is to have someone in the seat to generate the noise by moving his *** and elbow in seat from side to side to help locate the source while you spray lubricant

Or just take the straw off the can and soak down everything. You know, as a preventative measure... :leaving:

Funny that I came across this post, as I am taking my car in tommorrow for the "creaky" seat and the "creaky" drivers side window! Mine is an 05 with 17,000 miles on the clock. Let's see what they have to say, but this thread was very informative!

Many things other people found "normal" for them is not for me...

I didint even bother asking to my dealer, anyway ANYTHING I get done to my car by someone else never reach my expectations. When I can do it by myself I do.

Sadly... I cannot do everything..I wish I could

I also have that exact problem and it drives me up a wall. Usually I have the music up so I don't hear it, but when I just want it to be quiet, I keep hearing that annoying sound. I'll have to try the DIY this weekend and see if that will solve it.

Take the time to figure it out...I had a lot of creeking sounds when i was working for ACURA...It was the seat belt buckle, springs in the back support, or just the joints on the seats have bad bushings...Turn down the music and sit in your seat and rock back and forth without the seat belt if it doesn't creek then start the process of elimination...Seat belt on move side to side like you would when you are driving...Reason why i'm saying this is the tech that is going to look at your car is going to have to do all this..I rather do it myself and go there and tell them then have them drive recklessly in your car for miles trying to make it creek....IMHO.....

I had the same problem with my car. While driving, if I moved my butt even a little, I would hear some kind of "creaking" noise coming from my seat. I didn't know if my leather was just getting too worn out or maybe I've gained too may pounds eating fast food but I figured I'd take it to the dealer (Lokey Infiniti, awesome mod friendly dealership btw) and told them the problem.

The tech that works on my car told me that this was a known problem with the 03-04 in which part of the lower seat assembly frame becomes loose after time (24 in ericsherbrooke's attached picture). I do not know whether they put in a new lower assembly (the tech said he did) or just lubed a certain part of it, but the "creaking" noise is gone.

have u tried to lower the seat all the way down? That solves my issue of noise, not that I like the gangsta pose when driving
