Yes, he means traction control light (slip light). I have this problem too only I have the ABS lights going on to. I called my dealer and they said it is a TSB.

wow, I think my freakin coupe had every recall on it. Window streaks, window motor, brakes, noises from passenger side, and now this.. sigh

How long do you have to leave your car at the dealer to get this fixed? I heard some crazy stories about people getting their cars scratched and all and I'm scared that someone will take my G for a joyride.

I have this "slip" thing happen a lot too! It doesn't happen all the time - about 20% of the times I gun it going into 2nd gear and it even happened once going into 3rd. Not too much on 1st from a stop though. I've also turned the VDC off to help it but this can't be all together a normal thing and I'm bringing it in to service to have them look at it. I understand the car wants to leap when you engage into 2nd or whatnot but it's annoying to have the extra-sensitive VDC function delay the kick-in - hope it gets corrected!

I don't know if VDC necessarily always engages when there is slip, does it?

[censored], I actually LIKE to see my slip light coming on...you gotta be pleased with enough torque to spin Michelin Pilots even shifting into 2nd and 3rd!

It should engage if your VDC is on.. But it is awesome to know that a Japanese car has that much torque. =)

the huge drawback is that - off the line be prepared to look foolish!

Re: slip light keeps comin on

its a recall problem just bring it in and tell the service it takes like half a day for them to change it. I had slip, vdc, and abs i think but i forgot, it happed when i had like 3000 miles mines went on sometime and sometimes it didnt. I just suggest for anyone that has this problem to bring it in because for over 35000 u shouldnt have this problem. And when i bought mine in they said it was a common problem.
