Probably different testing standards... either that or Infiniti finally decided to retard the timing a bit

new SAE ratings that's why... in a way it's good to know that the infiniti ratings weren't too far off

Didn't anyone learn anything from the 2006 Acura TL HP drop last year? New SAE ratings are the reason why. 2007 G35 Coupe still has the same engine and performance should be the same. The new 2007 G35 sedan however got approximately 31 HP increase for automatic and 13 HP for manual since the 2006 G35 sedan has the same SAE rated HP as the 07 G35 coupe. I thought they were gonna top the IS350 for most power in class but I guess not.

yeeaaahhhh... Good to know that the coupe hasn't changed much. I was bumped when I heard it might hit the 310hp on the coupe. It would make the 06 so outdated. hahahaha

On the other side, why can't they just put the same VQ motor into the coupe as they did with sedan? Doesn't make sense. Unless they're really pushing to compete against the IS and not care about the coupe since there isnt' any other car in its class that's better. Corporate's way of making sales and saving money, I guess.

I agree with what you say, and its funny because the 07 Z is getting the VQ35HR, idk why the 07 G coupe isnt getting the motor. Nissan must be saving the motor for the new 08 coupes, with most likely more power. Remember folks, Infiniti has already registered "G37" and "M37", so u never know what Nissan may be hiding in their sleeves....
