Im Moving! BUT... Need shipper/freighter info for the G

Im moving to ATL and I have a couple cars to ship, but the prices im seeing initially are crazy. $1200-1800 (each)...
Has anybody shipped their G long distance? What should I look for in a company? If anybody knows of a shipper they would recommend it'd be much appreciated. I aint trying to pay out the ***, but I still want my babies to be well taken care of, ya know?

Go to www.movecars.com. They have some good tips and list all the movers by the state.

I just had my new car shipped from Va to Tx. It was $950 but I could have had it done for cheaper. MAKE SURE the contract is very clear on the pick up and delivery dates. DO NOT allow the car to sit at a depot in between. As soon as it does if anything goes wrong you will be dealing with two companies who are saying "not me".

Good luck.

$950 is better than what ive been getting so far. Who did you use and how would you rate your experience with them?

On auto trader or cars.com there is a link to vehicle shipping. You put in what you want and it goes out to different shipping brokers. They will e-mail you what they will charge. A broker puts your car on a shipping board, when a driver sees it and it fits his schedule, he'll contact the broker and then pick it up. You put the terms in the contract i.e. pick up and drop off dates.
I used aaal state shipping as a broker, their e-mail was the most informative. The actual trucking company was PNC Logistics, they were the most unprofessional pieces of crap I have ever dealt with. You can turn down a trucking company, if this one offers to pick up your car, refuse them. See my post "It's Finally Here" I left out a million negative details. My advise make sure you have a precise contract and contact phone numbers for EVERYONE, even the truck driver.

If you want it enclosed and by itself then it will cost more, if you don't mind it on a car carrier then this works.
