clear bra / vinyl overlay questions...
just traded in my 05 athens blue for a fully loaded black on black 06. dont want to pay that dealer charge for the clear bra - anyone ever used / ordered from these guys (or does anyone know a reliable / cheap vendor?):
http://www.vinyloverlays.com/
also, if you install yourself or pay a tint shop - how difficult to install was this?
last question - charcoal or smoke overlay for the head/tail lights? easy to install, is this vendot reputable (or anyone know a better place for this?).
thanks...

I cannot say it loud enough - DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF. The film is like window tint from ^%&(^(&^. After watching the guy work on my G35, I got tired from just watching. You will end up wasting film.
Quality film is another point to all of this. 3M is good stuff but I am hearing lately that Avery may be a bit better. You can get the 3M precut kits from xpel.com. They can also put you in touch with a local installer.
Once you have it on one car...you will want it on the rest. It is a great insurance policy.

I install 3m kits. Do not do this on oyur own. It will be a big waste of money. I went through a lot of training at the factory to get it down and they are still dificult to install. You also need a clean environment since anything that gets under the clear bra (dust, hair, fibers) will stand out once its on. You also have to worry about air bubbles under neath and making sure the edges are carded down. Get someone to do it that will stand behind the install.
