Buying 05' coupe tomorrow, good deal?

I am thinking about buying an 05' coupe tomorrow and just wanted to see if you guys think its a good deal. It has 16,000 miles, premium sound system, nav, premium wheels, aero package, and pretty much everything else. The dealer said he could let it go for 31,000. Good right?

I guess, if it has everything and you think its a good deal, go for it.

Double check for paint chipping in the front. Try to test drive it first, and get a copy of the warranty offered.

^ Agree. With 16k miles I'd push for 31k OTD. Get a couple of new car quotes and use those to beat the price down.

haha you can work that price down. i worked an 05 350z with 18k miles on it (touring edition) to 24k out the door.

threaten to walk and be confient, like you have options. seriously. as soon as you let them know that this is the only car you want then they wont budge. in all seriousness, even though this sounds cheesy, "put the ball in your court"

got my 06 (though it was a base model) for 30k out the door. it had 886 miles on it.

bring up the fact that they need to get rid of all older models b/c 07's are coming out soon.

make 31k sound difficult for you. just be like..well i can only afford _____. thats how i worked the 350z down to 24k (and it was originally 32k)

trust me, they are desperate - but they dont show it cause they are pros at this stuff which is why they get paid for it

just my two cents..

i GOT A new 05 G35 coupe for $33,700 one year ago (everything u specified but no nav), so I would pay few more grand to get a virgin. why would you want a car that someone fart in it? or picked their nose in it. especially when you are considering paying over 30k for it?

This one sounds like is has pretty much everything. I would just keep working on the price and if you can get it for less than 30k If they do I would get it if they dont budge then just buy a new one.

New one would cost you probably $36,500 atleast with Navi/Premium/aero etc...

So as it sits right now your paying about 5k less for the year and mileage.

thx guys, it also has a clear bra already and sirius. Just looked at it today and they might bring it down to 30k but im not sure. It's kinda funny because its at a warehouse dealership type place with all lambos and ferraris, not that it looks outta place, but it is.

no one has mentioned this yet so perhaps this helps.
1. Body style changes in a 1/2 a year or so.. right?
2. Dealers are loaded with coupes that will soon be discounted to make way for the new "concept" coupe. My dealer had over 60 coupes on the lot.
3. If it's used, they got it for a steal, or sold a new car for top $ as part of the trade package.
4. Every dealership owner I know of lives in a very, very large house. Their margins are greater than you might think..

Dealer invoice on an 06 6mt (loaded but no nav or rear steer or aero) is $32,400. Why would you buy a used 05 (no bluetooth) for $31k?

Its really a game of who blinks first. Make him ask you what you need the deal to be to make it happen tonite. Go lower than your bottom line and negotiate to where you want to be. Im not Oprah or Dr. Phil but YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I agree with Chasman. You can definately negotiate the price a little more. Perhaps you can ask $30k since it has 16k miles on it. Any minor dents or scratches on the exterior body? Curb damage to the wheels?
If so, then bring it to the dealer's attention as a way to bring down the price. As well as the coupes will be redesigned early next year.

It is more than likely the dealer will meet you in the middle and make his or her final offer at $30,500.
