Already ordering before getting car
Okay, I think this is horrible lol. I pick up my 06 G35 Black / Black this coming Friday, but I've already started ordering stuff. I've ordered the Clear Corners so far, and stopped myself from ordering the Z1.
I'm switching from a Focus (thank god), and this is my first real car. Im 23, and can finally afford one without issues.
I got the 6MT black / black with premium, aero, rear active steer, etc. No navigation since I wanted an after-market one.
Couple of questions though...
1. For the Z1, do I still need to get the Double DIN brackets and the rest from grubbs or somewhere else?
2. Since the Bluetooth on the G isn't that great, should I get the Pioneer one that goes with the Z1 and can I replace that with the one that is in the car already?
3. Clear corners...Ahhh I can't believe I ordered them already ! am i nuts?
4. Bought the interior detailing stuff today at a store. What other things should I keep at hand to clean the black car? I mean I have to take it to the car washes where I wash it myself, but then, what things do I need? I should never take it through the auto wash right?
5. Should I get the clear bra on a black car? If so, what areas? I've used the search feature, and I think I might just get the bumper, but should I do the whole hood? How hard does cleaning it become? Or not bother?
6. Thinking about ordering the Gialla grille and de-badging the Infiniti and G35 text.
Thats it for now...
Yes I've used the search feature for some answers, but these are just opinions I need since not a lot of ppl have the 06 on this forum for some reason.
I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT TO GET MY NEW RIDE!!! Also, since I grew up in Japan (not japanese), I think my new Vanity Plate is going to be pretty cool though although only Japanese people will be able to understand what it means!
P.S. Already have a tinting appointment scheduled...They use Johnsons over there so I'm thinkin about getting 35%...I'm in PA.

Good stuff
I just got mine about a month ago and have already done a few mods (grille, clear corners, debadge). I am about to order the AVIC-Z1 myself, and yes, it will fit but you will need to buy the kit through grubbs, etc. to get the double din conversion. You might also want the PAC SWI-X so that you can use the steering wheel controls. I thought about the bluetooth also, and I am just going to rely on the Pioneer one since I've heard so many bad things about the built-in bluetooth.

Welcome to the club.
I had the following parts sitting in my office or already ordered before my '05 was ever delivered. I ordered the car, so I had a couple of months to wait.
NISMO front bumper
NISMO rear diffuser
Data Systems rear spoiler
Gialla grill
NISMO headers (JetHot2000 coating)
NISMO Y-pipe *
Crawford Cats
NISMO sway bars
Z-tube
drop-in filter
Rogue Engineering shifter *
UR crank pulley *
I've picked up a few more since then (MREV+, headlights, etc.)
The items with the "*" are ones that were never installed and are what I consider wasted money due to limited knowledge.
The Y-pipe, as people have come to find, would have been too much with the headers and cats. I decided against the crank pulley after more research. And I had bought the RE short-shift before the '05 was ever released, so it was only when I took delivery that I realized the '05 shifter had improved isolation. It's operation is fine for me, so the RE shifter wasn't going to offer as much as it does on the '03-'04 6MT.
