Feedback please

Im deciding to get an aftermarket exhaust for my 06 coupe.. Can i get a feedback on some exhaust. I want a louder growl while at idle and also screaming when at WOT.. Dont want a loud A$$ drone while idle

I dont want no ricer fart can,, thank you!

Im looking at the Borla True Dual SS Exhaust or a HKS dual Hi-power (Ti) exhaust)

thanks!!

if you want a true dual exhaust go hks b/c you will lose the least low end torque with it and it sounds awesome from the clips ive heard. i can only imagine how good it must sound in person.

if you dont want to go true dual, i highly suggest the fujitsubo legalis r. this pretty much the same thing as the nismo exhaust but it actually fits our cars. as explained by the guys over at perf nissan, fujitsubo actually makes the nismo exhausts so you know youre getting top notch quality there. some say this exhaust is quieter than stock when idling and some say it is barely louder/deeper. but i have heard nothing but good from people with this exhaust and everyone that has it seems to be extremely happy with it.

i also recommend the tanabe medalion touring exhaust. the guys at perf nissan explained that this would give you a slightly louder/deeper idle and slightly louder/deeper city drive but at WOT it sounds like a beast. apparently there is no droning or rasping with this exhaust either.

benefits of the last 2 (legals and medalion) is they are not true dual which means you shouldnt lose any low end power.

with true dual you lose low end power b/c it flows "too well" and doesnt create enough back pressure. unless you plan on going f/i then you want back pressure for n/a.

it all depends on what youre looking for exactly..you didnt mention anything about performance but im sure you dont want to lose too much in the low end with the true dual. then again youll gain it back and more in the high end. it seems like you are aiming for sound mainly. exactly how loud do you want it? if you want something loud..then i would suggest the rsr true dual. ive heard that in person and it is a beast. too loud for me personally though..

oh yeh..and i gotta say it: "search it. theres tons of threads on this."
