I had the same type of hit but my car was parked. I had damage to other parts of the car but the rear quarter was replaced, along with the whole rear subframe and drivers side suspension and half shaft, tail light, bumper ground kit, mud guard etc..... the coast was about 10,000 with new rim and tire. the prob is that the whole rear of the car needs to be taken apart to replace the subframe, make sure the get the driveshaft/pinion angle right when they put it back together. also u wont know the full extent of the damage until the car is apart, and then when they road test it afterwards. If u have the active steering prob more money to fix. forget about loss of value its a LEASE AND THE BANK LOSES OUT IN THE END NOT YOU. technicaly speaking on these cars once the quarter panel is replaced it considered frame damage. my car drove like such slop afterwards I had to get rid of it. the drivetrain had alot of play between the tranny and rear and didnt feel solid.

Hope this helps and all turns out alright

If u need any help drop me a PM

Are you ok? Be sure to keep up with your neck and spine and whoever was with you if there was anybody. Get some massages and adjustments! One of my friends got rear ended by this lady and he ended up having to have spinal surgery a few years down the road ($25k surgery). Don't let little neck and back pains slide. Don't settle with the insurance company until everything is fixed.

Thats what came to my mine when I saw the rear wheel knocked out, the frame. I don't see how this car will run as good as it did before it was hit, thats so much damage to the entire rear section of the car.

Make sure if they don't replace that rear rim that it is in a perfect circle. Check the tires too.

Sorry to see this, I was recently in an accident. A dumb woman in a van was backing up and I couldn't move (blocked in every direction) and it hardly did any damage but was $1500 to fix.

It looks like they will total it, whenever its a rear 1/4 panel hit, its pretty much frame damage at that point, and honestly, if anyone but the manufacturing plant is going to basically take the car apart and put it back together, I wouldn't feel comfortable about it!!

They are not totalling it...like I posted earlier, its a lil less than 8K in damage. The car was just picked up to be taken to the body shop. They are not repairing the 1/4 panel, they are replacing it with a new one. I really do hope the car drives the same after this one....

Are they replacing the rear subframe?

Its all aluminum and breaks on impact, thats why the lower control arm is on the floor and the spring is almost out. If I had a scanner I would post my pics on how bad my car was hit.

who cares how it drives you are lucky you weren't hurt and its a lease so dont sweat it
