Yes....I'm in the same situation as you. I have an '03 coupe (which I'm keeping) and my wife wants a new car and we are considering the 2007 sedan. The only problem is she is now driving a BMW 540 and as good as the new G sedan sounds, it will be a tall order to replace a 540 (of couse the G would cost a lot less!). The new turbo 3 series BMW's look promising also!

One thing I don't understand is why is the G sedan going to have more horsepower than the coupe for 2007? What sense does that make? People buying coupes tend to be the performance oriented customers, so for 2007 they get screwed with less HP than a 4 door sedan?? I wouldn't buy an '07 coupe for that reason alone. You know they will up the HP on the coupe for 2008.

I'm waiting for a V8 or turbos in the coupe before I replace my 03 coupe.

+1 I was okay with it in the original press picks, but the red ones posted lately make it look bloated/bulbous. I'll have to see it in person to pass final judgement though.

Well, if this will help you guys a bit. I know for a fact (don't ask or I will have to kill you ) that the new coupe will be 90 percent similar to the concept car. There are a few tweaks here and there, but for the most part, it will look like it did on the concept on the exterior. Now, for the interior, the seats are definetly not the ones on the concept. Nor is the funny looking silver silver buttons controls on the inside of the steering wheel. The dash will change slightly from the concept but will pretty much retain most of the looks as it is now. Same goes for the center L console (Nav, shifter, etc.). Don't ask how I know, but let's just say I do

Although I love my coupe, my next joint will be the super charged RR sport! As a matter of fact, I'm going to drive it on Friday. I've had the sedans and coupes, but this will be my first official SUV (I have a honda passport also, but that doesn't count...lol). Maybe I will get another coupe in the future, but who knows? I must say, I will miss my baby!!!!!

I was considering the sedan even before I got the coupe, so the new sedan is very big possibility for my next car. But I do love my coupe more, so I will not go and trade in my coupe for the sedan until I will need a new car. And if the new coupe comes out as hot as concept I might fall in love with that and scratch the sedan idea again.

The Coupe is just a different animal in terms of appeal. Whenever I drive a sedan loaner, I feel like just some other guy driving a non-special car. Nobody really gives it a second look and it doesn't feel that sporty to me.

Personally... I've been a coupe driver my entire life in every car i've owned except my first one, and I have no desire to go back.

Plus... with a Coupe, you don't get stuck always having to cart people around because they know they're going to be uncomfortable sitting back there.

Interesting. Seems us coupe owners are pretty split, some love the new sedan; others not so much.

I have mixed emotion on the 07 sedan. While the design has evolved, now it looks like the bastard child of (original G Coupe + FX45 (hood) + M45)/3. The unique vertical headlights look more 'typical Japanese' now and overall the car has lost some of its identity. Performance wise I am sure it will be great, but I know the 08 Coupe will be even greater with the VQ37HR motor.

Now the coupe concept is a different story - that thing looks absolutely gorgeous. I just might trade in my car for a new one, if it's not too heavy and comes with some crazy paint job. Overall though, I am going to stay with the Infiniti family because I really love what they have done in the last 4 years, starting with the G, G coupe, then FX, the M and now the new G. Bravo Bravo.

HERE! HERE! I agree. I'm seriously looking at the Cayman and Cayman S (used, in two years of course), so the price might be close enough to decide on it or the new coupe. Like I said above, the coupe will be nice and you have a good idea of what to expect. Although, they are absolutely being hush about the specs so I can't seem to get that info.
