Re: RESULTS: 6MT Tranny Problem

canton...those are some of the same symptoms I had. However, I refused to take the car home without them taking it apart to look at it. I drove around with them for a long time to make sure they heard the noise. They had my car for 6 weeks before it was finally worked on.

Car at the dealer 6 weeks, man I know how you must feel. Mine has been at the dealer for 3 weeks for a LSD conversion and it's driving me crazy not having it. But man, 6 weeks uhhhg.

Re: RESULTS: 6MT Tranny Problem

hey everyone... i had that same grinding noise with my g35 6spd. i took it back once and they tried to tell me that there was no problem, but im a real enthusiest when it comes to cars... so i knew what i was talking about.... so i took the car back that time and as soon as i heard the problem again which was on my way some from there... i was pissed... keep in mind i live 100 miles from this dealership... there and back..so it doesnt help my mileage at all. but to make a long story short. i took the car back that next day. and told the head service manager, that i didnt want the car back till the probly was fixed. i didnt expect these kinds of problems when i bought this infiniti. i figured that they would be on top of their game. GUESS NOT? but to all of u with this probly... dont give up till they fix it immediately. i have a friends with this probly also and they got theres fix.... so good luck to all

Re: RESULTS: 6MT Tranny Problem

I was convinced I had a problem, although mine has started to go away now that I'm getting more used to this tranny. If I lazily and weakly shift from 1st to 2nd with the clutch pedal to the floor, the 2nd gear synchro refuses to catch and it grinds a little. If I throw it from 1st to 2nd with some force, it clinks (sometimes not at all if I'm making a conscious effort to hesitate in neutral during the shift). But at least I get no spinning noise at a stop... although after reading this maybe I should have the dealer take a look at it next time I stop by.
