Regular fuel ok?

I have a lease on an 06 coupe...since i dont own this thing, was wondering if anyone in here has 'dared' to use regular 87 octane fuel on it?
What's the worst that could happen? knocking? pinging?

gas is so damn expensive on this car!!!

thoughts?

well the manual says in worst case scenarios use only a minute amount of 87 fuel and try not to accelerate hard etc...so i think it would be some knocking and pinging...imo i wouldnt try it.

You will lag in performance and get worse gas mileage. You may save some change each gallon, but will need more in the end. Not worth it.

Just read the manual the car comes with and that will tell you what gas to use.!! Besides premium gas is always the best for the g.!

use 91+.
the cost difference isnt that large.
if you used sub-91 and got caught i would imagine you'd be on the hook for potential damage, despite the fact that it's a lease.
