Things that bug you
Re: Things that bug you
First off the hole no memory seats **** me off because that's the point of having the back seats so you can put people and things back there without having to have to remember how you sat. I dont care if the passenger has it or not.
2nd what pair of sunglasses did they test with because they smash my oakleys everytime. Good thing they don't get bent.
3rd the windows could go up with the key remote.
4th the key remote could be part of the actual key
5th the reverse mirror thing would be nice b/c right now i do it manually.
6th keep a constant heated seat instead of having it turn on and off all the time.
7th a full heated seat, like the upper back would be nice.
8th the clutch being so high sucks, dealer told me that it couldnt be adjusted b/c it is hydraulic
9th front bumper too prone to rock dents and chips
Things that could have been easily added with none to little extra cost.
The seat belts don't bother me. I'm 6'1" and dont find the seatbelt a problem.
Everything else is great, I love the sound of the clutch, the mechanical sound.

Re: Things that bug you
My biggest beef is the light turnstalk. The auto mode should be on the opposite side of off from the manual settings. Every time I switch on just the parking lights, the switch goes through Auto Mode and flickers the headlights which contributes to reducing the life of the bulb. The same thing happens when turning to switch on the headlights manually.
Not sure if this is on all models, but that's how it is on Coupe models in Canada.
The other peeve is the trunk. I really don't like to grab on a paint surface to close the trunk. Other well thought out cars have a small indentation or handle of sorts inside of the trunk to hold onto to close the trunk. The more you have to touch the surface of a panel, the more chances it could get scratched not to mention getting finger prints on a nice clean surface.
There is nothing progressive about the lighting and gauge design. I've read in the postings and brochures that it's easy on the eyes but again expect more from a car of this caliber.
All little details, but expect more from a car of this level and compared to other cars in this class.

Suspension sucks I felt the car bottom out a couple of times that's why I had to change springs (Tein) after only 700 miles.

Suspension sucks?? You bottomed out?? These are new complaints I've never heard of, and certainly can't relate to with my car. To bottom out the suspension, you must:
1 - Drive on VERY bad roads that make railroad track crossings seem like nothing.
2 - Carry four 300 lb.+ passengers.
3 - Had a car with defective springs or shocks.
My car handles great, the suspension is excellent, and I've never come close to bottoming it out. And I've driven it hard, testing it's handling limits.

Re: Things that bug you
I'm not the only one complaining about it. There is a thread in here that I read that a few people had the same problem. On my way to work there is this small dip on the road I go through it everyday in my 91 integra with no problem. I brought my G to work one time and I did what I usually do as I exit the freeway. I was going about 60 as I was slowing to exit and as soon as I hit the dip I felt the car bottom out. I couldn't beleive it myself so I drove to it again at lunch time and same thing happened. This sport suspension crap is just that a "piece of crap". I'm very picky about this things maybe to some they don't even notice but to me that's very annoying. And just FYI I don't carry a lot of stuff in my car I was alone coming in to work. As for the defective springs and shocks dealer said that they did not find anything and that the car suspension is performing the way it should (again a load of crap conclusion IMO). Anyways, I'm glad that your not experiencing this in your car 'cuz if you did beleive me you will be annoyed as hell.

Re: Things that bug you
2 things that haven't been touched.
I like to crack my windows even in a sprinkling rain, or even when the road are just wet, but the water rolls off the windshield and onto the side door sill and there's nothing to keep it from coming into the car. My old Celica had a "gutter" to preven this, and i look pretty dumb when cracking my windshield when waters starts dropping on me.
Also, i can't believe this isn't mentioned. The non-diming side-mirrors. '97 cherokees have this, can't our car. It's great that the rear-view mirror dims, but i'm still blinded by idiot manufacturers that can't point their truck's headlights down towards the road like they are supposed to.
Love the car though, it's a dream.

Re: Things that bug you
At freeway speeds, a good dip can bottom out just about any suspension.
The 52 freeway here in San Diego runs over what used to be a landfill. It sinks over time, and eventually gets some roller coaster sections going, and then you start seeing gouge marks in the pavement where everyone's scraping, and then CalTrans finally comes along and smooths it out. Rinse and repeat.

Re: Things that bug you
Anyone else have the nicking on the upper door sill from the seatbelt knocking into? Maybe you haven't noticed, but if you take a look at where the seat belts rest (when not use) they tend to slap around and it leaves little scratches in the door sill. It's a little eye sore, but its enough to tick me off.
The rear trunk hatch buttons placement SUCKS! Whenever I want to hit it, specially in the dark, or when I'm reaching in from the outside, I always end up moving the interior dimmer ****.
The slow *** seats, and yes no power back!
Useless coin holder, very true!

Re: Things that bug you
How come my integra is not doing it? My integra had stock suspension "til i changed it last summer it never bottomed out on that dip. The last car I had a TL-S never bottomed out and that had stock suspension. And the dip I was referring to is a drainage type dip it was made enough to be felt on the road. I have been working at my place for more than 10 years and they did a lot of work on that part of the freeway. It had stayed like that for as long as I can remember. I'm sure somebody hit that thing before with the undercarage of their car.

Re: Things that bug you
Glenn...it's called a sports car...it has a sport suspension. Your Integra and TL are not sports cars. If you don't know how to, or are not willing to learn the driving differences between regular cars and sports cars, then maybe you should go back to your TL. This car was made this way for a reason. You have to adjust your driving habits. It's like saying, I bought a Yukon Z71 and it doesn't go around corners like my Honda Accord did...it's suspension sucks. Your comparing two completely different kinds of cars. Have you never driven even a lowered car before...?

Re: Things that bug you
I agree with you Hoshtaylor. Also, the G is probably lower than his other 2 cars. It is easy to scrap the front lip on anything on this car.
I have never bottomed out this car. I once unexpectedly went over a hugh depression in a road and the car did not bottom out; but, because of its stiff sport suspension it actually leaped off the ground. But that is not the cars fault!
Also what is his definition of bottoming out? What springs and shocks has he switched to? What was the result in ride, cornering, etc??

I stand corrected then. I'm surprised - the suspension is so firm that I wouldn't think it would bottom out so easily. I guess there's not enough suspension travel to take major bumps well.
Those are cruddy roads mentioned in that thread though. I know first hand how bad they are, as I used to live in NY for 28 years (just moved from there in April).
