The trick dealers pull with the repainting offer is that they can hopefully con you into believing they are doing something major and that the damage will completely disappear (which it may after a complete repaint). However, as I said, its a TRICK because the dealer will have you out and on your way with something that looks immediately better.

Give it about 1.5 yrs minimum, and you'll notice rusting developing. Rust is kinda like some types of cancer...once it starts, it expands fast and takes over. By this time, your labor warranty has already run out, and its perfect for them becuase they did a delayed-damage repair of your immediate concerns, meaning, the thign was repainted and initially looked great, but you'd get the side effect of RUST past the one-year mark that they were responsible for it.
