Can u hear ur valves clicking at idle?

Hello, i have noticed that if I listen carefully I can hear my valves making a clicking noise when im idling, does this just mean i need a valve adjustment?

My 06' makes a little valve train noise and it only has 4900 miles on it. I'm not sure if it's the valves making a little noise or injectors causing it. I can only hear it when I'm pulling it in the garage where the noise reflects off the walls.

+1 . . . I do not think that an engine valve train noise should be considered normal, if that is what you are hearing.

If the noise that you are hearing is indeed a engine valve train noise . . . They may check your engine oil level and opt to perform an engine oil consumption test.

Start here.............

Check your oil, I know it's a PIA with this dip-stick.
I use Mobil 1 and don't have the valve noise your
talking about. My noises come from intake/exhaust.
