Brembro rotor upgrade

my back two rotors need to be replaced so I was thinking of replacing them with bigger drilled/slotted rotors instead of the factory brembro rotor. I would also replace the front two as well. Can I upgrade the rotors to a bigger brembro rotor if I have the brembro package. Thanks

you have to change some hardware to relocate the caliper

First off its brembo not brembro.....

Also, you cant take the rear rotor and make it bigger...the caliper wont fit on it if its bigger than the one thats on there, but brembo does make upgraded rotors that are cross drilled. If you get the upgraded rotors it will just help with moving heat away from the caliper and rotor...allowing more stopping power.

So yes you can upgrade them, but you cant put a bigger rotor on. It will be the same size as the factory one just more high performance.

I use Brembo slotted rotors, OE size.

How can you tell when you need to replace your rotors? Is there a minimum width?

Is it listed somewhere on the rotor? Can someone tell me what it is for the stock Brembo brakes?

Yes, it should be stamped on the inside or on the lip of the rotor. I don't remember exactly, I wanna guess something like 26mm or so. But I can't say for sure.

I always thought you don't need to change rotors until they warp and vibrate or visualy look abnormal after you resurface them a few times.

When they warp, you resurface them. If they are still above the minimum thickness, you do not need to buy new ones.

I was told (by the dealer) that the minimum width is 28mm for the front Brembo rotors and I was quoted $510 per Brembo rotor.
