Dealer, Oil Change, Miles

A friend of mine got 04 sedan. And he's leasing it. We were talking about miles one day and he told me that he's not taking it to dealer for oil change anymore because that way dealer records the miles he won’t be able to roll them back when he'll to trade her in for other car because dealer would have the mileage on the record.
Anyone can back this up? or what if you do roll the miles back a lil and your last oil change would be slightly diff??? Anyone ever faced a situation like that?
?

1.Why would he lease the car if he is worrying about miles?
2.The miles are stored into the ecu no matter what you try to do
to turn back miles.!!
3.Why didnt he lease a new car to start with instead of a old one?

Why the f*** would someone who would roll back the odo take the car to the dealer to get an oil change anyway? If your that worried about money do the oil changes yourself. Aren't they like $70 a pop at Infiniti? Sheesh people never cease to amaze me...

they do record the mileage... any place where you dont pay cash should unless theyre lazy... my mechanic does it and it shows on all invoives and receipts.. because if anything happens to the car after the oil change an you want to blame the mechanic, it would help corroborate the story of the honest person.

My dealer charges me about $36 for an oil change. And I leave it overnight and get a loaner for a day.

Your right this is a joke.........the ECU contains the
correct mileage so turning the speedO back is a
waste of time and very stupid even if you don't get
nailed when you turn it in. It might bite you in the
a$$ years from now if proved............
