New & planning to get one

Hi all, I called Ramsey infiniti and they say that they have couple of 6MT's in stock, I've driven a stick 7 years ago and only like 3 times on a beat up Volks Fox, do you think I will manage to drive the car home? I'm very new to manual shift so God help me ..

Anyone can learn, how much damage you do learning is another matter. Don't be afraid to buy one, but spend a couple hundred dollars and learn the stick on a drivers ed car. Would'nt hurt to brush up on you skills anyway.

Is it really that bad? I remember on my old Fox there was a point in the clutch that the shifter starts to vibrate before it cuts off, I always think that this is the same on most manual shifts...correct me if i'm wrong..I was able to handle the hills without a problem on the fox with just 40 minutes driving it..

7 years ago is the last time you drove manual? Don't worry it's like riding a bicycle. You'll get back into it quick. I did find the g35coupe clutch a little bit different then other clutches I've driven. Not like a racing clutch, but not as soft as other stock clutches.

Re: New & planning to get one

After reading all these posts about the clutch, I'm got a little worried. I've never actually had a manny before as my own car. However, the clutch I am used to is on my roomates Intergra type-R so, if I could do that one I'm sure I'll be okay.

im sure you'll be fine man
you might stall while pulling out from the dealership LOL! that'd be funny, but im sure you will adjust on your ride home from the dealership, after you get to know her for more than 10 mins you'll be fineeeeee
