Expert advice on this please...

I have plenum and high flow cats. if i add cat back, will I need ECU reflash or will ECU adjust itself after a few miles? if ECU reset, how do you do this?
Thanks !

ecu reflash will help you get the most from these mods as possible. Doesnt HAVE to be done but its the RIGHT way to do it.

Thumbs up

I'm guessing that it will not reset itself.. take off your negative battery terminal.. And pump the brakes a few times. wait a few minutes and you are ready to go test it out.. Of course after you put the cable back on.
there are posts on another way but you have to be exactly right on the time.

You can go to this websight and at the bottom of the instructions they have all the reset examples that you will need.. Good luck

if im not mistaken, isnt reseting and reflashing the ecu different? when most people say reflash dont they usually mean taking it to TS..and when they say reset then thats when they mean disconnecting the negative battery terminal/use the pedal method?

correct me if im wrong..but thats just what ive understood from reading the forums

This is what i thought as well. The reflash is when they (technosquare) reprogram the ECU to the mods that are on your car. The reset is just simply reseting the ECU un pluggin the battery and doign whatever it is that you do to reset the ECU.

I would also say that you should just leave the ecu alone. My recomendation would be just to floor the car around for a while in different gears. Stretch 1st then stretch 2nd then stretch 3rd, but do it all from a stop and let the ECU learn.

yeh..well..im assuming he just means an ecu reset. dont know why you would spend so much on an ecu reflash for just an exhaust. i would wait to do an ecu reflash after all the mods are done.
