I always thought the OEM exhaust did indeed sound like a 12 cylinder.

I saw a review of our car once, maybe C&Driver or Motor Weekly show? Anyways, the guys said something like "And if you didn't know it, hearing one pull away makes you think it's a 12 Cylinder Exotic".

I want to eventually upgrade the exhaust for HP and Torque gains, but am literally afraid of loosing that sweet "note".

A friend/co-worker of mine has a Black on Black 6MT 5 Series and his g-friend has a G. Ok, yes, sucks that his only exposer to a G is threw a girl, but anyways, he told me one day that he borrowed her car for something, must have been his was in the shop? Anyways, he said that he parked it in a parking deck for a business meeting somewhere and when he got back in the car and was driving around getting out of the parking deck with the windows rolled down that he went back up to the very top of the deck just to go back down and hear the exhaust note ECHO, that he was in love with that "note".

My response was, "That's one of my favorite things about this car!".

Honestly,

The Fast intentions exhaust duplicates the stock note, AND gives an increase in hp. Seems dyno proven. Looks like the exhaust i am going to get.
