5AT vs 6MT

Re: 5AT vs 6MT
The greenstuff are great, virtually no brake dust. I cant tell exactly how much better with stock rotors but with the stillens I got, they are much better. Cant wait until the rears are available.
If you are looking for just pads with low brake dust the satisfied pro ceramics are a good choice, I had them for about 2k miles and 0 dust. Stopping power is about the same as stock.
Crawford Plenum / Z tube + Stillen Hi-Flow / Borla Dual Exhaust / Stillen Xdrilled+Stotted Rotors
Best 1/4 mile 14.371 @ 100.29, 60ft 2.347

Re: 5AT vs 6MT
While the 6MT should be .3-.5 seconds faster than the AT (as pretty much all magazine tests so far have confirmed), I think a much better factor for choosing one over the other is the driving experience. The AT offers convenience and hassle free driving in traffic at the expense of some performance, and more importantly (to me anyway) responsiveness.
The 6MT has the responsiveness and involves the driver more in the act of driving. Since my car is mainly a weekend getaway module, and not driven much in haevy traffic, the 6MT was a no-brainer for me (I've never owned an auto tranny car though, so I'm pretty biased). I enjoy the crisp, direct response of the drivetrain all the time, even when driving in a very relaxed way.

Re: 5AT vs 6MT
i think 1/2 sec is too much for g... if you were comparing magazine times between MT coupe vs. AT sedan then it is correct... one thing i know is as hp and tq increases, there are less and less gap b/w AT and MT if both are have sampe power... g MT should win by no more than than .3sec or less.. and yes .2sec will make pretty big differences.. it's 2more carlengths... 3 or less carlengths and 5 carlengths will make huge differences...

Re: 5AT vs 6MT
Both are great like people have said. It's all about personal preference. End of story.
The auto is a bit slower, but there's less chance to mis-shift with an auto. Manual is more direct and engaging, but also requires the extra work (which can suck in traffic). The manual on this car is not a lazy man's manual either - the clutch is not forgiving and is a bit stiff. But then again, auto drivers have to deal with the "learning ecu" of autos, so maybe the PITA factor equals out.
I took the manual because I felt it really added to the driving experience. Plus, I just love the brembos.
