doesn't look too bad but I'd guess that it took a bigger hit than 10mph

it actually doesnt look like it will take that much to rebuild. The motor is fine and and everything...frame is str8 so you should be in the goods. New bumper windsheild and dash might coast you like $6K at the most for those parts. Plus you picked it up for $2K i mean thats a awesome price. Good luck with it! Alot of the guys here have alot of money to spend on whatever so they just think everything should be new, but good luck with it and keep pictures updated.

Dude, that car is rebuildable. Get a nice aftermarket Bumper & grill, a new door & windows, do a crazy stereo/custom dash since that's already out and you will have your self a decent G35. Don't mind the haters just do what you want to do with it. I think your already on top since you only paid 2 G's for the car as is.
Try the Marketplace on this forum, ebay, and some of the aftermarket sponsers from this site and you should find everything you need for the rebuild.
Have lots o' patience during your rebuild as well. Good luck!!

I'm just curious...but with all the damage the car probably has a salvage title right? I heard its real tough to get a salvaged titled car insured, but i'm guessing you already figured that out.

Not salvaged. Salvage would mean the cost of the repair would be 75% of the value of the car. This isnt the case here. Anyway, thanks guys.. I will try to get new pic up soon of it completed

you could just sell off the parts from the car to make a profit. great buy. If you were in MD I might of helped you out cause i manage a shop and have connections with alot of junk yards. For just 2 k's ? WOW

Since I will be gutting this car anyway, I figure id like to do it now while its all apart.
Why make it back to stock? Buy aftermarket parts make it look better and spend less money! Also, where did you get it for $2k? what auction did you buy it at?

Also, why would you build a car like that back to stock? Thats insane. You will pay more for the factory parts to have your G look average, when you could pay less for aftermarket parts to have your G look one of a kind...well, kinda. Cool idea to rebuild, but dont waste it going back to stock!
Value of the car to rebuild applies to the owner who got into an accident, and it pertains to the value of the car before the accident. He was explaining how much damage there has to be in order for the car to be salvaged, by insurance standards. He's not filing a claim for insurance to pay for the damages, so it does not apply to him. You're confused.

I think he wants to modify it, but certain parts he's going to need to be original equipment, don't you think? Air bag for example. Read the whole thread carefully.

Him asking how to make it a sport coupe, implies he's gonna modify it. He still has plenty of OEM parts that he's gonna need, hence him asking for places with good prices.
And not everyone thinks aftermarket parts could make this car look any better, not even mentioning the reduced value afterwards.

you got a great deal. the engine alone is worth $6000-$9000. there is an ebay seller that deals in selling parts or whole salvaged high end cars. you should google to find other vendors doing the same thing.
