Hey guys, I was just wondering if the Rogue Engineering Short Shifter (http://www.rogueengineering.com/Merc...Category_Code=) can be installed on a 2006 Coupe? I'm told they stopped distribution of them a while back? I know the 2003+ year coupes are almost alike, just wanted to be sure the shifter would install properly to my 2006. I've heard great things about this shifter! thanks

it will fit no problem, if you can find one.

I ordered one abt. a month ago, installed it, and it works fine. Of course, it does increase the shifting effort, just as any short shifter would.

Oh, it's sorta nice. The difficult tranny in these cars detracts from the shifting, but when you're rolling and not going 1-2 (a difficult shift), shorter is nicer.

Uh...I mean...hmmm.

heh, looks like an easy install. this would be a nice addition with shortening the clutch travel that someone posted on here recently. bet the drive would feel totally different, and better.

You can still order it directly through Rouge Engineering. It's on their website.
