Big Problems

First of all, I want to apologize if this is a repost, but I don't want to search through the 20+ pages you get with the word "air".
Now to my problem; Fisrt, and more importantly, when I have been driving for a little while and I push in the clutch, the RPM's drop dramatically (sp). Sometimes to the point of the car shuting off. I then have to pop the clutch to get it started again so I don't crash because the car's off so I don't have power steering. Second, my AC stopped working last Friday. If anyone has any knowledge about troubleshooting/repairing AC I would appreciate a pm or any tips.

Thanks in advance.

Is your car still under warranty? Take it to the dealership.

You've got a CAI. I believe this is a known problem with CAIs.

For the A/C, all I can say is have it serviced.

I'd get the engine fixed so it will idle before going any further. Dealer!

The first issue is common with CAI's.....the high flow of air upsets the engine and causes a stall. (easy to avoid).

The A/C may just need a fuse. Check out the electrics first b4 getting some service.

You could get in the habbit of blipping the throttle or you could remove the CAI. It's not gaining you much anyway. There are other alternatives that will provide as good or better gains without such bad side-effects.

Yeah for some reason people have lots of problems with the CAI i guess i got lucky (knock on wood) i havnt had any problems with mine for 50K miles. He is right though go with a pop charger or stillen and it should change. If not throw that CAI back on!

its probably the intake like most have said. and as for the a/c your intake might have been rubbing on one of the a/c lines, which might have caused a hole in the line, leaking out the (whatever the fluid or gas thats in there). thats most likely what happened. check the line next to the intake, if there is a hole then replace the line and refill the a/c
