Track times 1/4 mile

Hey peeps went to the track today it was pretty fun, but i wasn't sure if i should be happy or dissapointed with my times. My best run out of a million truly crappy ones because for some reason my clutch keeps slipping or i keep grinding to second gear i ran 15.021. This is the track in palmdale everyone says, subtract .3-.5 and thats how much it would be on a normal track at a good elevation. does 14.5-14.7 sound good as far as a stock G with pop charger and z tube goes? (spare tire and jackhammer where removed as well and it was on a full tank of gas.)

Let me know yoru input / advice on how to do better next time around.

I ran a 14.7 at LACR, on a stock 03 6mt, so by taking off the .3-.5 i ran a 14.4-14.2....

What are you launching at? i launch at 2500 rpms and feather it through..

I know this is off topic but anyone notice that while your shifting, as soon as you get back on the gas, the tachometer shows revs kinda fluctuating between 5-6k rpm and then it stabilizes and starts moving normally again?

I just put my time into the formula for LACR in palmdale where i was at. 15.021 is equal to 14.57 at sea level. Ive only been driving stick for two months hopefully i can do better next time i got and ill probably go on a half a tank of gas. i was completely full past the E.

those times are great, considering u have been driving stick for only 2 months. First time i went there with my car (only had 6month experiance) managed to do 14.9. I am going there on friday, october 6 with 3 other Gs and my cousin's IS350 hoping to do 14.6 or 14.5. Its on socal meeting section.
