Transporting the Coupe

Ok, heres my dilema. I am going to be driving my car from san antonio to dallas (~275 mi./4 1/2 hrs) on friday for HIN. I am going to detail my car here in San antonio on thurday and drive up to dallas friday morning. Now my problem is the best way to drive it up there while keeping it as clean as possible. My thoughts were painters tape & and a big roll of paper. Is this a good idea or do yall have any other ones.

Appreciate the help.

Someone made a very similar post to this about a week or 2 ago. I think the general consensus was to sue that blue painters tape.

You should be able to find that other thread pretty easy if you do a search or step back a week or 2 through old posts.

i would do the lime green 3m tape cause it seems to stick on a lot better...The paper deal would think when you drive it flies or rips off.

Ok so say I did a full front tape mask and some sides mirrors some hood some rear. Now since im having it detailed in SA, would there be any affect to the paint or the wax. Or just peel off and rub down w/ a microfiber towel.

i would wax it and when you get to the place peel it off and quick detail it. Do a test run tape it and leave it on for a while. peel it off and wipe see if any residue is left..
