black is the easiest color to match, any body guy will tell you that.

Well Black is easy to match. I know some people can be really picky but you are not owning this car so you're not losing any value if you intend to re-sell it. I say just get the car in good shape and enjoy the ride. Either way you'll be giving this car back in a few years.

It all depends on the equipment used, expirience, and care of the body\paint shop and craftsman... There is a shop I take my G to that always makes it look like nothing ever happened; they do have a waiting list sometimes tho'... Hearing what you have already told us, you should demand they use another shop to do the work, V & V would have never let the car leave looking anything less than perfect. I ve had door dings, road debris repair, rock chips repaired\repainted etc. and I've seen other cars leave there just beautifull, one after I saw it 2 weeks before looking like there was no way it could even be fixed!

crappy dealers

I would write a letter to the corperate office demanding something be done. When I bought my car they gave me a hard time. I ordered my car and still had problems. They where crapy to me. So i wrote a letter. They called me a week later. I went down their and they had two versions of what i wanted. They bent over backwards to help me.
Today I recieve great work and great response time. If their is a problem they give me a new car to test drive and they fix my car asap. it has never been in the shop for more than 24 hours. Even when I added some mods from the dealership. Dont let them push you around. You are the cuetomer and they want your buisness. You are a rolling bilboard for them...
Good Luck!!!

The buff marks are probably holograms from a rotary buffer that they misused. You can buy yourself a Porter Cable and buff them out.

u may be right,

its a black car so these things are noticble, it doesnt quite look like swirls,

its not like a bunch of little circular scratches u normaly see on a car, it looks like one wide cicular streak,

how do i rid it without messing anytrhing up,

how much would a detailer charge aproximatly to do this

so any update?

u know, i went through a very similar extremely frustrating experience over at south bay infiniti in southern california ... i got the car for a great price through AAA, but i still feel they should have compensated me something. you can take a look at http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...&postid=104151 for my story and pictures of the horrible swirls they put on my car. i have a porter cable and have buffed and polished the hood many times to the point where it looks decent, but i will never take it back to them.

anyways, to answer your question, if you don't want to do it yourself, you can find a detailer that knows what he's doing, shouldn't be anymore than $100 if its just 1 panel...

well just an update,

the dealer said they fixed it but now that the wax is off i still see holograms and swirl marks, i geuss i just learned to live with it. mothers sealer and glaze hides them for a month but then they come back. im really thinking that a porter cable is the way to go. can someone tell me the cheapest place to get one and the best pproducts to use it with to hide my imperfections.

Amazon has it for $120 and thats free shipping and no tax if your not in their state... or if you trust one of these other guys you can froogle it

http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=...rice2=&btnP=Go

Also you should get a velcro backing plate with it and some nice foam pads from either http://www.meguiars.com/ or http://www.detailersparadise.com or from http://www.autopia-carcare.com. The forums over at Meguiars are a great place to ask which products you should be applying and for wut purpose. My personal favorite 3 brands are Meguiars, 3M, and Malco

If your imperfections arent too deep the porter cable along with the correct pad and product won't only hide the swirls but illiminate them. If they are pretty deep it will take a number of polishes to do the trick, or even a rotary buffer. I haven't tried the rotary buffer yet, as you should really have experience with one before using it on your car because it can cause damage if used improperly. That's whats great about the porter cable - its DA (dual action) random orbit so even if you don't know what your doing its really hard to do any damage to your paint with it

come back and let us know how it goes!

It sounds like this situation has been a huge pain in the ***. Rightfully so, they've provided you a loaner car with unlimited mileage - and seemed to be receptive to what it is they could do to make the situation right. Luckily this is a leased car, (hopefully the one year lease), meaning it's not your problem in a year, and won't have to bite the depreciation of a car that's had paint work. Best of luck.
