I test drove the bimmer that sucker is fast
but the back end looks like a honda
I think 08 coupe looks better , but hope it match it with the speed and hp

as for the HP i feel they will match or beat it..just look were they went with the 2007 G35 Sedan....its like that old tv show... COME ON UP ...anyone knwo what show that was from lol

 

08 Coupe all the way

335i Coupe is great but looks like a 2-door sedan, and the dash sucks

 

BMW should be somewhat quicker, but with the price difference you should be able to do enough mods to be closer, at least that is my plan. Also, this is BMW's first try at turbos for a long time. I'm guessing some time will be needed to work out the kinks.

 

Honestly, without seeing or driving an '08 coupe, who knows which is better? (don't post concept/show pics, I've seen em)

 

All of the bimmer guys are all about this stupid car, but the simple facts are that the new G35 coupe will be more powerful, be faster around the track, and will look classier on the inside and out. To top it all off, the new G will probably be around $7-8k cheaper than the stupid bimmer. The G is the obvious choice.

 

The new bimmer is only 300 hp and will be heavier than the new G. The new G will have somewhere around 330 hp.

 

Already proven that the bimmer is underrated, its putting out almost 290 hp at the wheels and 300 lb/ft at the wheels....simple chip and exhaust, like the folks at Vishnu have done, puts it at the 330 whp mark. Not to mention the torque band of that thing is very flat and broad. As much as I hate to say this, 08 G wont match the 335i performance let alone be faster. But yes it will be much cheaper. And I dont know all of you are saying 08 G is better especially since there are no pictures or performance data. Damn fanboys....

 

I would take the 07 G sedan over that Bimer, so the 08 coupe is a no brainer... 2008 G Coupe for sure!

 

hmmm i actually dont think the new 08 gc looks all that great ... i think the backend could use some work @__@

 

The concept coupe from the auto shows is not what will be released in 08...

 

apparently you don't know about bmw numbers. they are sae correct and they under estimate their ratings. you also have to look where the cars are making their peak hp at, just because you have 400 hp doesnt mean you are getting 400 hp right off the line

 

automobile mag dynoed the 335 and found it to be underated. its running more like 350hp than 300.

and its not just about the peak hp and tq either, the torque curve on the 335 is sick.

id be pretty happy if the new g coupe can hang with this monster

i love the g and the 08 will be sick, but the 335i all the way...u have to consider the performance will more likely than not much better than the g, and think about the tunability...u can easily tune that sucker and play with the boost and be pushing close to 400hp...thats something the g wont be able to do without a 5k turbo kit plus install...theres the difference in cost right there.
