i just can't believe that nissan is having so many problems with the manual transmissions on the Gs and Zs. cars costing this much should not have these problems. to be honest, i'm really disappointed in nissan's quality compared to Toyota and Honda.

For those of you that have about 5000 miles or less....i didnt start having the 3rd gear grinding problem until about 6000 miles so keep an eye out...I have about 4000 miles on my second tranny and everything seems good so far.

Ok i have a quick question for you dudes, that are on ur 2nd trannies...

My car has quite a few problems, the grease on the windows, rattling for both doors, and steering wheel, very shady tranny, and chipping shift ****... NOW i never complained to my infiniti dealer once....i never brought one of these problems...u think i should?? And if i do, would they do anything about it?! man this sucks...especially with a recall now...

of course you should cause one of these small problems might turn into a big one in the future. Take advantage of your warranty and tell the dealership to fix it.

I can't say enough about trying a differant dealer if you can. You would be very surprised with the results. Also as for the "small" little problems some people may be having, take your G in anyway. When my tranny started make a little extra noise with the clutch pedal out I didn't want to take it in. But now it's worse and the tranny needs to be replaced. Also you want to get these things addressed during the warranty period plain and simple. Good luck.
