'04 6MT tranny problems?
Re: '04 6MT tranny problems?
i just can't believe that nissan is having so many problems with the manual transmissions on the Gs and Zs. cars costing this much should not have these problems. to be honest, i'm really disappointed in nissan's quality compared to Toyota and Honda.

Just because a car costs 36 grand doesnt mean it won't have any problems. My sister has a MB G55 and the same day she got it from the dealer, her console screen displayed that there was an error in the car. No matter how much a car costs, it will always have problems........ that's why there are service centers...

For those of you that have about 5000 miles or less....i didnt start having the 3rd gear grinding problem until about 6000 miles so keep an eye out...I have about 4000 miles on my second tranny and everything seems good so far.

Most people wait for months to get their G coupes, but you managed to travel into the future to get yours! Damn...you're good...

of course you should cause one of these small problems might turn into a big one in the future. Take advantage of your warranty and tell the dealership to fix it.

Re: '04 6MT tranny problems?
I can't say enough about trying a differant dealer if you can. You would be very surprised with the results. Also as for the "small" little problems some people may be having, take your G in anyway. When my tranny started make a little extra noise with the clutch pedal out I didn't want to take it in. But now it's worse and the tranny needs to be replaced. Also you want to get these things addressed during the warranty period plain and simple. Good luck.
