It's been up on eBay a few times for like high $400's. I personaly have never had or seen any VIS carbon accessories up close, so I really can't say honestly much about them, but many people here on the forum say it's garbage.

As for the price, the Z's carbon fiber hood was in the high $600's when it first hit the market, but now you can get em for like $250, so be patient and see what comes out (if you can wait and deal with your dent)....

Oh and lastly, have you looked into paintless dent removal from companies like Dent-X and Dent Wizards? They'll charge ya anywhere from $75 to $150, and can for the most part get out most any dents without the need for typical body shop work. This will only work and look right if there's no paint missing....

not to burst your buble or anything, but, that carbon fiber hood will save you like 3 to 5 pounds of weight at most. the stock hood is all-aluminum...

Dont get the carbon fiber hood from VIS IS JUNK, call Fiber Images in cali they will make one for you for scratch and they are the best for the job trust me Alot of people would say the same.

 

VIS ish okay...I had OEM VIS CFH on my Maxima, No fitment problem wutsoever...but Fiber Image do make "Better" one...Very Clean... VIS Price $385+ 100 Shipping if needed..

VIS do make lower quality products........especially bodykits that generally have fitment issues. It's a smaller company compared to Wings West and Erebuni and their customer svc is not the greatest. But they do make cheaper parts, reflecting their quality and quality standards.

 

I deifinitely agree that, you won't loose much weight. You might loose more than few pounds, but it won't make much difference. You can just keep you gas tank 1/4 full and not have any passengers and you would probably loose more weight.

I was looking for a hood that would be higher so i can fit the super charger without having that horrible looking middle piece..

 

that clearence hood your talking about is only needed if you get the stillen supercharger, if I were you i'd either get the ati or wait for a twin turbo
