Painted my stock rims black, check it out!

Well, i constantly called different places to ask how much theyd paint my rims for and the cheapest quote was 125 a pop sigh... then i asked about powder coating and they said it would take a week. I gave up and a month later, my friend came up with tthe idea of doing it ourselves. I thought he was crazy but damn it came out fvking nice! This was an extremely cost efficient job cost us a mere 20 bux and 4 hours of hard labor and two jacks. Here are some pics. If you think it doesn't look nice FVK U i love it jp. What do you guys think.

Youve probably noticed that i didnt paint the front infiniti caps black, my friend thought it looked btr chrome i thought it would look btr black so i painted it black. whats your guy's opinions im going to fix it up this saturday.

G-spot 4 life and i really wanna thank my friend david for doing such a nice job.

Not feelin it, car doesn't have enough of the race look to pull off the all black wheels. Maybe if you were running a big drop and blacked out your headlights/tailights as well as getting a cf hood it would look better, but on an otherwise stock car it just looks out of place

Drop coming soon. Its a 1 year lease, no point for anything major. I might even rethink slamming it. But for now im in love with it.

$20? That’s rattle can paint, right?

Interesting… Coming from 4x4 forums, lots of folks used to get flamed for rattle can jobs. Quality and durability is usually the issue. Most end up rolling up the cash for real powdercoat eventually… some things just have to be done right the first time.

Hope you have better luck with yours.

yea...i'm with redlude on this one. for the G, i think its best to have a polished lip and black center. but not on the OEM rims either because the lip is so small.

just my opinion. but if you like, stick with it.

Coupe
looks great, but give it few months and you'll see why you'd be paying 125 a pop.

Regular spray paint was used yes. But i used paint sealer, this will hopefully keep it from deteriorating earlier on. Im planning on repainting it or just applying a new coat in the areas that are fading, it's worth it to me.
