Re: recall

Does anyone know how they will fix the problem and how long they will hold our G to be fixed at the dealer?

Re: recall

I remember a few members here that were complaining about taking two or three tries to start the engine.

Re: recall

Does someone have a link to site that tells which VIN's are specifically affected? It's not up on the TSB website yet.

Re: recall

From the last 300zx model, it will morelikely bit he CAS (Crank Angle Sensor). This is a very important sensor for the entire engine, the car will not start, drive, or run without it working perfectly.

Re: recall

Hey guys,

How does this work, if your car is one that needs to be recalled? Will Infiniti send you a letter saying that you need to bring your car in, or do you have to call them and ask to have your car checked out? I am kind of new at this.

Secondly, this sucks because I love driving my car and I don't like the thought of something going wrong in the engine that would shut it down while driving. Oh well....

Re: recall

I got mine the last week of April. April 26th to be exact.

I wonder....my car runs great, except that one time it didn't start. I also have hyperground wires w/hypervoltage system...I wonder if they will say anything about it?...only have 6200k miles on it.

Re: recall

I'm guessing the dealers will replace the appropriate sensors without saying a word about any modifications whatsoever, considering the sheer numbers of customers impacted by this defect.

Re: recall

o great a recall but i guees a good record so far. My car is almost a year old so i am deffently part of the recall. How hard do u all think this going to be for the dealer to fix. if its the crank sensor thingy u mentioned will they need to open the engine up. if so do u think that would be a good time to through some cams in and maybe new rods and low compression pistons?

Re: recall

Don't think it'll be major dismantling bro. There's a sensor inside the crankcase, and a sensor (or 2) on the camshaft(s).
I still can't see this being too big... There's not been many complaints that I've heard of. We'll see....
